Emma Isabelle Barber of Caledonia, Ontario
November 30, 1932 - August 17, 2021
With profound sadness, the family of Emma Barber announces her peaceful passing on August 17, 2021 in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late Harold “Si” Barber (2010). Dear mother of Victoria St. John (Steven), Terry Barber, Kelly Barber (Erika), Craig Barber (Judy) and Alison McCann (Alexx). Cherished grandma of Kelly (Tennille), Erin, Hillary (Eric), Rachel, Adrian (Jenna) and Krista (Dan). Loving great grandma to Landen, Makinley, Ryerson, A.J., Charlie, Leo and Amelia. She is also survived by her sisters Lillian Gray (R.J.) and Carolyn Caughill. Predeceased by her siblings Marion, Norma, Doris, Donald and Bob. Our Mom was a strong willed and independent woman who loved her family. She loved travelling, knitting, crocheting, her gardens, and enjoyed her years at the cottage on Harp Lake. Mom’s creative knitting talents were appreciated by many. She was also a dedicated employee for 31 years at Bell Canada. The family is very grateful for the wonderful care given at West Haldimand General Hospital and the Palliative Unit at Brantford General Hospital. Visitation will be held at Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a service in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. All guests must practice physical distancing and wear a face covering. Due to capacity restrictions, guests may be required to wait. There will not be a reception following interment. Donations can be made in Emma’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
